Project Management

Gantt chart and Kanban board

We used a Gantt chart to keep track of our project timeline and a Kanban board to keep track of individual tasks. These tools ensured we met critical deadlines and kept ourselves accountable.

Research + Ideation

Brainwriting

We conducted a brainwriting session on Miro to ideate innovation solutions that integrate tech under different Loreal brands and product categories. After the session, we compiled a list of key features we wanted to integrate into our final product.

Affinity diagram

All the chosen features were then categorised under different categories of the evaluation criteria in an affinity diagram and further developed. This ensured we met every point in the evaluation criteria.

Inspiration

We gathered inspiration from Dribble and Behance for the various chosen features of our product. This also gave us an insight into similar competitor designs and where there could be room for improvement.

Video script and storyboard

We created a video script and storyboard in Miro, ensuring we highlighted key elements of the product and had structure before diving into the video for efficiency.

Prototyping

ScreenFlow

We created wireframes and high-fidelity user interfaces in Figma. With the interface screens, I created a ScreenFlow in Miro to represent key elements of the product, user decision-making points and movements from start to end.

High-fid Mobile UI - Key Application Features

Login & Profile

Users are asked to log in or create a new profile.

The profile page allows users to view saved products and connect with their friends’ profiles.

Home & Lorey

Home shows daily skincare affirmations and weather updates that allow users to get one step ahead and adapt their skincare routine to changing weather conditions - for example, UV levels, humidity and pollution.

Built with the latest Large Language Models (LLM), Lorey is an inbuilt AI assistant that can answer questions through natural conversations, and give in-app purchase L’Oréal product recommendations based on skin types, concerns, and ingredients.

Skin Diary + Log

Users can monitor progress with private photos, comments and mood tracking, and adapt their routine based on AI insights. Regular skin affirmations help users remain motivated and foster a positive self-image.

Shop

Users are directed to the marketplace through the shop icon on the home page or the nav bar on the bottom. The user-friendly scroll function allows users to browse items available to purchase.

When Lorey makes a personalised recommendation, it also appears on this page under recommendations.

Community & Resources

Join a community for resources and tips, or to share, comment, make friends and see others share their skincare journey.

Each resource has a green rating of how eco-friendly it is.

Promotional Video

The video, created in Canva, highlights key product features and addresses how it solves the problem statement.

Report

The final entry submission included a report highlighting our concept features and meeting the evaluation criteria.
